Reporting to Hostinger

eCarVinCa.com was hosted by Hostinger and was shutdown after I filed an abuse report.

The abuse report was one of the first reports I filed, and I had filed many abuse reports at the same time. Hostinger responded claiming that the "Listed abusive account(s) has been suspended.". This however was not true. I replied to their notification stating that it was still up and was responding to requests from 2 different IPs and told them a "x-hcdn-request-id" I saw in the response headers. They then actually took down the site.

This seemingly strange behaviour, claiming to take things down and not actually doing it, is some foreshadowing of how hostinger will pivot to ignoring abuse reports and allowing them to stay up.

Investigating the Criminal

As you can see in the message log below. The domain was registered without any domain privacy. After they were made aware of this fact, the domain registration was changed to enable the registrant privacy. This indicates that the information on the domain registration was correct.

is not a pseudonym then they, or one of their associates, is likely responsible.

The domain registration had a phone number that I called. Unfortunately I made the mistake of calling after I had already informed Fajar of their registration status. When I called I got an automated message that the "[...] number you are calling is not active or out of coverage area. Please try again in a few minutes". Quite unfortunate.
